USE OF GUILD'S NAME

 

I. Each Guild member shall only use the Guild's name in a respectful and dignified manner. No Guild member, through the member's action, directly or indirectly, shall allow disrepute or disrespect to fall on the Guild's name.

II. Any member in good standing who holds either a Guild professional designation or an honorary title may use the Guild name in advertising. The Guild's logo may only be used by persons who have been granted written permission by the Guild to do so or who are officers of the Guild or who are a part of the Guild management team.
A. All use of the Guild name will only be allowed in advertising that is of the highest professional standards.

III. The right to use the Guild's name and/or logo is non-transferable and belongs only to the member. No corporation, group, organization or association may use the Guild's name and/or logo.

IV. All members of the Guild will provide to the Guild all copies of advertising that contain the Guild name and/or the Guild logo.

V. No member shall use either the guild name or the Guild logo, in advertising, in any manner except to indicate membership in the Guild.
A. Members can only use the Guild's name and/or logo, in advertising, in seeking appraisal work or for purposes of establishing credentials for doing appraisal work.
B. No other use is allowed.

VI. Any use of the Guild name and/or logo must be accurate and must properly reflect the relationship between the member and the Guild. While using the the Guild's name or logo it is improper to;
A. misrepresent the member's relationship to the Guild,
B. misrepresent the member's profession designation, expertise, past work assignments, professional training, educational background, level of experience and/or honorary title(s) held,
C. use a previous client's name without the client's written permission,
D. be in arrears regarding any fees or due that are duly owed the Guild.

VII. Any member who violates this section of the bylaws or any part thereof shall be subject to disciplinary action.
